Biography

Nick Doll read medicine at Newcastle University and took up canoeing there. It is said that the only life he ever saved was that of a drowning canoeist by hooking him out of the River Inn with the handle of his umbrella!

He has paddled throughout Britain and Europe, but with a particular emphasis on the area covered by this guide.
