Ray Quinlan

Biography

Ray Quinlan is a scientist by profession, and escapes onto his local stretch of the Ridgeway over the Berkshire Downs in order to refresh both mind and body. He finds the contrast between the noise and bustle of modern southern England and this ancient landscape an endless source of wonder and enjoyment. The pubs are good, too! The Ridgeway, therefore, was a natural choice for this, his sixth, walking guide. Ray's previous books have focused primarily on routes along the canals of England and Wales.
