Two Cicerone guidebooks shortlisted for Lakeland Book of the Year

Cicerone are delighted to announce that two of our authors, Ian Boydon and Vivienne Crow, have been shortlisted for this years Lakeland Book of the Year award.

This award has been running since 1984 and attracts around 60 entries a year. We are very pleased that Ian Boydon’s Mountain Biking in the Lake District and Vivienne Crow’s Walking in Cumbria’s Eden Valley have made it into the final 21.

Within this shortlist there are five categories, each with a prize of £100 but the overall top prize goes to the winner of the Lakeland Book of the Year.

This years judging panel consists of the author and columnist Hunter Davies, BBC broadcaster Fiona Armstong and writer and broadcaster Eric Robson.

This year the awards ceremony will take place 10th July at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal. Cicerone wishes Ian and Vivienne good luck!
