Great Mountain Days

February 18th, 2008 in Book Catalogue by Sarah

camping-at-langdale.jpgWe have just sent the proofs for Great Mountain Days in the Lake District off to the printers – it looks great, and there are lots of interesting routes to keep me busy this summer.

The weather was great last weekend, so I headed up to Langdale with the details of ‘Walk One – Lingmoor Fell’ from the book, camped at National Trust campsite and had a fantastic weekend. (although as you can see from the photo there was a really hard frost – I’m so glad I took my down sleeping bag!)

Our first pocasts are live!

February 15th, 2008 in Cicerone Office by Sarah

We’ve just heard from podcast Bob that our first batch of podcasts are live on the Outdoors Station website. We are also in the process of adding them to our website.

The first in the series to go live are – The Cicerone Story, Pete Hawkins talking about Navigation, and Paddy Dillon on the GR5 and GR20, looking at how the two can be combined to create a trek.

Look out for more in the series over the next few months.
