Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you charge post and packing?

Because we need to reflect the real costs we incur in the prices that we charge, or we won’t be here for long. Sending one or two books is a much more expensive business per book than sending ten or twenty, or the hundreds that we are often sending to shops.

However, we only want to reflect real costs, so we charge a small sum that is intended to cover the postage costs we incur. Unlike some sites we could name, we won’t confuse you by charging a high price for postage on a discounted book, which costs you more in the end.

So in the UK it’s a simple £1 per book, 50p for three or more and no postage at all for ten or more books.

And where you order more books, we reduce postage costs as much as possible.

International orders are slightly more expensive than UK orders but we still look for the lowest possible charge consistent with giving you, the buyer, the best possible service.
