Why are some of your books available cheaply on Amazon ‘marketplace'?

Some vendors sell used guides on Amazon marketplace, and also on eBay. These can be bought for less that the original sales price.

Sometimes traders also sell new guides. They buy these from the wholesalers who help us distribute guides to shops. For some reason (turf wars is the only even half-logical explanation) they sell these for less than they buy them for. So long as they do this, why not take advantage of it? But it is hard to believe they will do it for long.
