The Cumbria Cycle Way is a 260-mile waymarked route around the county offering the visiting cyclist a unique experience. Being circular it can be started anywhere on the route: Carlisle, the Eden and Lune Valleys, Morecambe Bay, the west coast and Solway Firth. Mostly it follows quiet lanes, but takes in all the interesting towns and villages.

There is complete information about facilities and attractions along the way, helped by 21 maps with quick reference symbols. The text describes vividly the changing scene, relating it to geology, climate and history.

Both authors have lived and worked in Cumbria for many years and know the area well.
