‘Kev’ (as the much-thumbed guide was inevitably nicknamed) proved essential throughout the trip. Detailed route descriptions, distances and timings for different sections aided daily planning, while the excellent colour and black and white pictures helped us (and Nima the sirdar) keep track of progress – and proved a great ice-breaker with fascinated youngsters in the scattered Langtang villages. … If you’re heading for this area … this guide is as essential a part of your kit as Lomotil and Fuji Provia. Take a spare copy for your Sherpa guide.

(John Manning, TGO)

‘This is an excellent guide, good colour pics, all the information about both Nepal and the treks in the area you want – but what else do we expect from Kev?’

(Joss Lynam, Irish Mountain Log)
