Description
This small lake is something of an oddity. It’s unusual to have a water dedicated to carp, and King Carp at that, but that’s all that has been stocked. And it’s the answer to a dedicated carp angler’s prayers. There are plenty of fish in the range 1lb to 15lb and they are hard fighters, so be sure you use strong tackle. Best baits are bread, luncheon meat and sweetcorn. Try a floating crust when you see the bigger fish rolling in the sunshine. Otherwise sweetcorn laid on the bottom should do the trick. Access is good around all the bankside.

No night fishing.

Car park.
