Scotland is a long-established destination for the outdoor enthusiast, due to its wonderfully varied landscapes, from mountains to beaches, each as beautiful as the next. All these walking guides cater for a variety of abilities, from short and fairly easy walks to more challenging day walks across rough, sometimes rocky terrain requiring scrambling and good navigation skills. Every walk has an introductory section so you know what to expect.

There are walking guidebooks for most parts of the country, from the Orkney and Shetland Isles in the north to The Scottish Borders, Southern Uplands and Torridon to The Galloway Hills and the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh.
