'The authors of this guide are a married couple with considerable worldwide walking and climbing experience, living at present in Germany, from where they take frequent trips to Bavaria.
They cover a phenomenal 85 walks and treks in this guide, including a couple of multi-day tours. Directions are clear and uncomplicated, and laced with local info such as 'simple but hearty meals served in rustic restaurant'. The 317 pages of this well-designed and illustrated guide are full of useful information.'

(Walking World Ireland magazine / September 2007)

'This is the second edition of this pocket guide, which covers a fine Alpine area lying alongside the German Austrian border. There are some 70 routes described, which can be combined into longer tours, together with another 15 valley walks.

Although the region is not the high Alps, the scenery is breath-taking, with spectacularly-sited huts. The authors are keen to avoid excessive climbing and, where available, they include cable-car ascents to achieve the height at which to trek, though there may be significant descents involved.'

(Irish Mountain Log magazine / Autumn 2007)
