Sport Climbing


The popularity of the sport has grown immensely over the past couple of years, as climbers are attracted to the many bolted routes found all over the world, many of which can be found in warm destinations, offering excellent opportunities for a combined holiday and climbing trip.

Sport climbing is different to traditional climbing as the safety protection is already in place, e.g. bolts and rings are drilled into the cliff.

The climber has less equipment to carry and can therefore enjoy a fast and hard climb. Usually, a few extenders are carried, which the climber clips to the gear as he goes along.
