Discover Scrambling is designed for ordinary hill walkers who want to take their skills a step further, but without feeling like they need to reach into their rucksack for a rope every time they meet a difficult rocky step. This Astounding Adventures course is a perfect introduction to the sport of scrambling with the guidance of an experienced mountaineer as your coach.

The skills taught and practiced on the course will include:

  • Scrambling guidebooks and their usage
  • Navigating in complex terrain
  • Group management and spotting
  • Avoiding problems before they happen

Please note you must already be a relatively experienced hill walker, but no previous scrambling or climbing experience is required.
