Canadian trekker missing on the Munich to Venice Trail
Canadian Jeff Freiheit has been reported missing on the early stages of the Munich to Venice trek, known in German as the Traumpfad, or “dream way” and has not been heard from since 1st August.
Jeff is from Brandon, Manitoba and has done several treks before including Everest base camp. His family have reported him missing to the relevant authorities.

Jeff was last seen leaving Bad Tolz on 1st August on a 21km stage. He had booked accommodation along the trail but has not been seen. This stage from Bad Tolz is nearly 8 hours walking and is the first mountain stage of the Munich to Venice trek. It includes a challenging walk along the Benediktenwand ridge.
