Vivienne Crow will be chatting about her work and sharing some anecdotes from the past 16 years of walking and writing.
A Londoner by birth, but a Cumbrian by choice, Vivienne Crow is an award-winning outdoor writer and photographer. Her freelance career began in 2003 when she started supplying the regular walking columns for the Times & Star and two other local newspapers. Sixteen years and nearly 850 weekly walks later, she contributes regularly to a variety of publications including Countryfile, TGO (The Great Outdoors), Lakeland Walker, Cumbria Life and the Camping and Caravanning Club’s magazine.
As well as chatting about her work and sharing some anecdotes from the past 16 years, Vivienne will talk about her most recent project – a full revision of a walking guide to one of her favourite parts of the UK, the Eden Valley. She hopes members of Cockermouth U3A like looking at pictures of the fells because she’s currently struggling to whittle down her huge collection of photographs to a manageable number for her presentation.
Please be in your seats ready for a 2pm start
Venue: Lorton St Methodist Church Hall
This is not a Cicerone event - please see Cockermouth U3A for full details and tickets.
