The Cycle Show at the NEC, Birmingham

Last week we were at the Cycle Show at the NEC in Birmingham and we thought we'd share our highlights of the show with you. Have we missed your favourite part? Let us know.

1) Danny MacAskill

Danny was wowing the crowds with tricks - we kept trying to escape the stand to go and watch. Caroline finally managed to get a quick video of one of Danny's tricks. He was amazing but even he failed a few times, just to make you feel more human.

2) The pizza in Knowle.

We strongly recommend the Artisan Bakery in Knowle for the best pizza we have ever tasted. Seriously.

3) Meeting loads of cycling / Cicerone enthusiasts!

This was really the best bit of the weekend. We met loads of people planning to ride the End to End Cycle Route and then author Nick Mitchell posed with copies of his guidebook to the route.

We also met a lovely painter who uses our guidebooks as inspiration for locations to paint and a Welsh woman on a mission to get every woman in Wales on a bike - good effort!

Finally we met some of our Cycle Show competition winners - thanks for popping by guys! Here are their winning photographs (and one runner up):
