We are totally committed to ensuring that your privacy is fully protected.
All personal information provided to Cicerone is kept totally confidential and is only used for processing your orders or letting you have information about Cicerone guides and books. Unless we expressly state otherwise, we do not share your information with any other party or organisation.
We only collect the minimum possible information for processing your order. This includes your name, address and delivery address (if different) and phone/email contact details. Our payment partners also need your credit or debit card details. Cicerone do not receive, have or hold credit or debit card information.
Every online purchase is a secure transaction. We use 128 bit SSL encryption to ensure that your important details can only be seen by Cicerone and our distribution partner, BookSource.
Our credit card processing is performed by Stripe and PayPal, who both run industry-leading security systems.
Cicerone keeps a register of users who have asked to receive email newsletters, postal mailings and catalogues. These are only sent to you if you ask us to do so. You may, at any time, request to be deleted from either electronic or postal mailings. We will do so straight away.
Occasionally Cicerone runs campaigns jointly with other high-quality outdoor and/or publishing companies. These will always be clearly indicated. You will have full discretion over whether to let us share your details. If you indicate that you don’t want us to share with a marketing partner campaign, we will not do so.
Cicerone is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998.
