TripAdvisor voters have named Harris and Lewis in the Scottish Hebrides as Europe's best Island(s). And it is not hard to see why - it is a truly beautiful place. Actually one landmass, Harris and Lewis both have very different identities but are stunning places to visit for day walks or longer distances. You won't be disappointed if you like a sneaky wild swim either as there are also over 4000 freshwater lochs on Harris and Lewis. Loch Langabhat, ‘long loch’, is the largest with a length of 13km, covering an area of 8.9km2.
