Peter Battrick

Peter Battrick was brought up in Lancashire, but, along with his brother and sister, was taught to walk in the hills by his mother, grandmother and uncle on annual family holidays in the Lake District from before he can even remember.

Having travelled extensively around Australia and Africa in his youth, he worked for the National Trust for 20 years in various locations around England, the last seven of these as Marketing and Communications Manager for the National Trust in the East of England.

He and his wife Karen finally escaped the beautiful but flat lands of Norfolk for the beautiful but mountainous land of the Lakes in 2018. They now live near Loweswater.
