ROUTES 20/21: In the early summer of 2005 a huge amount of moraine on which Restaurant Stieregg had been built collapsed, not only destroying the restaurant, but taking with it a large section of path used as the approach route to the Schreckhorn Hut. A new path has now been created, and a temporary restaurant built higher up, as a result of which the route to the Schreckhorn Hut no longer conforms to the description in the guidebook. Anyone planning to visit either the restaurant or the Hut is advised to check the current situation at the Grindelwald tourist office.
