Welcome to Footnotes: the Cicerone Podcast, a podcast to inspire you about outdoor travel and activities in the UK and across the world. Whether you're an established long-distance trekker or mountaineer or have just rediscovered a love of walking or cycling, we want to inspire and guide you on your next outdoor adventure. As publishers of nearly 400 outdoor travel guidebooks, Cicerone Press are a specialist team who love the outdoors and we look forward to sharing our experiences with you. In this fortnightly podcast, we'll speak to our worldwide community of guidebook authors, outdoor experts and enthusiasts.
Alongside an introduction to Cicerone Press with Joe Williams, our first episodes feature highlights from our Cicerone Live events about Skye's Cuillin Ridge Traverse with Adrian Trendall, walking the Cambrian Way with Richard Tyler, George Tod, Olie Wicks and Will Renwick and trekking in Tajikistan with Jan Bakker.
