A guidebook to walking in Spain's Costa Blanca area north and west of Benidorm, including the Costa Blanca Mountain Way and the Gallinera Way. Seasons

Year round. 300 sunny days per year, although the height of summer may be a bit too hot for many.

Centres

Access via Valencia and Alicante. Benidorm, Altea and Calpe on the coast have accommodation but are best left behind.

Difficulty

True mountains, although only up to 1500m. Rocky, pinnacled and steep. Treat as real mountain walking.

Must See
