Author Highlight
“Shhh! Don’t tell anyone. I’m going to tell you a secret. There’s a country slap in the middle of Europe that’s beautiful, modern and well-developed, cheap to visit and that has some of the best mountain biking in the world. Oh, and it’s beautiful – did I mention that? For some reason, however, most people planning their European holidays – especially those planning a biking trip abroad – mysteriously and unforgivably overlook Slovenia.”
- Ron Houghton, author of Mountain Biking in Slovenia

Reader updates
Route 30 Dom na Osankarici has burnt down (partially), so currently there is nobody there and it is not possible to get an refreshments
Route 31 Under Point 3 it could be mentioned that there is the winers Vinotoc Jost right next to the Church St. Urban. It looked lovely, with a great view and it has very good reviews on Google. I didn't stop there as I saw it too late and had already eaten my own sandwich next to the viewpoint behind the church (but next time I would definitely plan for a lunch there).
Route 33 The road down from the Linden Tree has been washed away in several places by the storms and rains last year, and has not yet been restored. It is possible to go past these places by carefully pushing the bike. Cars cannot go through.
Route 35 I could not find the Restaurant Okrepcevalnica and also did not see any signs for it (but I also did not ask anybody for it, so it is possible I overlooked it). It was easy to park the car near the first farm (before entering the main village).
