Author Highlight
"The 15 walks in this book have been chosen to highlight the spectacular natural beauty of the area, where land and sea stand in hoary confrontation, with bastions of craggy cliffs rising behind sweeping bays and innumerable tiny coves separated by defiant promontories. In contrast, tidal estuaries and twisting rivers penetrate deep into the heartland, where steepsided valleys and sloping woodlands climb to a gently undulating plateau."
- Dennis and Jan Kelsall, authors of 15 Short Walks in Pembrokeshire: Tenby and the south

Seasons
Spring brings wildflowers and nesting seabirds to the cliffs, while autumn is the time for seals to give birth to their pups. In summer, everyone traditionally heads for the beach, but with generally mild winters, there are enjoyable days to be had throughout the year.
Centres
Amroth, Saundersfoot, Tenby, Pembroke, Milford Haven
Difficulty
Alternating between beach and cliff inevitably means ups and downs, but nothing is overly demanding and you can always pause to admire the view. The routes follow generally clear, established paths and require little more than common sense and basic fitness to get around.
Must See
Tenby, Saundersfoot and Amroth are long-established, traditional holiday resorts that have lost none of their traditional charm. Dale, Manorbier, Marloes, Broad Haven and Stackpole boast fine beaches too, with additional attractions that include island boat trips, the famous lily ponds and a castle. There's another castle and rare tidal mill at Carew and an unusual cliff chapel at St Govan's. The cliff-top scenery is spectacular throughout with many secluded coves to discover.
