At 1302km it offers a challenge for experienced long-distance cycle tourers, but as the route is relatively flat, and has a high proportion of traffic-free trails, it makes it a pleasure for cyclists of any level. The route travels through regions that have some of the best tourism infrastructure in Europe, with much of it centred on outdoor activities. France also offers some of the best dining opportunities in the world, and cyclists on La Vélodysée find no shortage of delicious regional food to choose from. If you enjoy beach-life, much of the route is adjacent to beaches of soft golden sands, popular with both families and serious surfers.”
