Walk 1

Buildings and fences down to the sea just north east of Nissaki have made the walk from Nissaki towards Agni impossible. (Thanks to Robert Borgerhoff Mulder)

By all means join the route at Agni and proceed from there.

October 2022

Walk 7 and Walk 9

Walk 7 - the Golden Beach Hotel has closed. From Agios Stefanos fork left just before the FantaSea restaurant up the steep road to a Y-junction.

Walk 9 - as mentioned in the p70 note, the return stretch on the CT route is not currently possible so you return the same way as the ascent.

Route Updates

p164:

From Sokraki village square, Sokraki Villas is 100m (not 1.5km) away.

Oct 2018

Walk 16: there is now blue paint to indicate the route to the
Pantokrator monastery.

May 2017

p128 at the end of the beach it's a bit of a tricky clamber up to the concreted lane due to sea erosion.
(Thanks to Liz Kantor, May 2017)

July 2016

Walk 9: the return loop is not currently possible due to a landslide. Return the same way.

p159
Corfu Trail Stage 7: after descending the kalderimi an extensive landslide has caused problems. After going right at the lane and then first right, you must branch left at the next fork for a diversion that leads towards the coast for a clear lane the rest of the way to Agios Georgios north.

(Thanks to Sean Whitaker)

May 2016

p26 The 1:56,000 Avanasi map (available from Stanfords) is reportedly more up-to-date for the walking trails.
