Actually one landmass, Harris and Lewis both have very different identities but are stunning places to visit for day walks or longer distances. You won't be disappointed if you like a sneaky wild swim either as there are also over 4000 freshwater lochs on Harris and Lewis. Loch Langabhat, ‘long loch’, is the largest with a length of 13km, covering an area of 8.9km2.
